PYE Bluetooth Radio Conversion

Lovely project, I was given an old PYE radio that used to belong to the clients mother, and he wanted it brought up to date so he could pass it onto his grandchildren. The radio was in a bit of a state as you can see from some of the pictures, and I was asked for a gentle restoration - it still needed to look old and like the original radio.

I had a new front laser cut, as the fabric was beyond salvage! and there was not even a complete rear panel so I made one of them as well. Inside now resides a 50W bluetooth speaker system, the original controls still turn on the radio and it lights up, but it can now stream whatever you send to it from your phone or tablet!
