PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
To compliment the Cold War Geiger counters that I make, I came across a set of Polish Military field telphones from the same period. This conversion focuses on the TAP-67 model of telephone, of which I only have 4 pieces so it is a limited run of 4 clocks, each one individually numbered and marked as a Limited Edition. The telephones date from 1968 - 1974 from what I could find out on the original label.
I have left as much of the telephone intact as possible, even down to the handle on the side for ringing the remote station and fitting the original label on the rear. It is though now a display piece, so note that the handle and handset are now fixed in place.
The clock features 4 of the Z570M Nixie tubes, and also incorporates a light sensor to dim the tubes at night.
- 4 off German Z570M Nixie tubes
- Tube life in excess of 20 years
- Accurate to +/- 1 minute per year
- Easy to set with just 2 buttons
- 12 / 24hr mode selectable
- Programable RGB backlight that can also be turned off
- Made from an original Military Field Telephone
The construction is Bakelite, and measures 24cm wide x 10cm deep x 14cm tall to the top of the tubes
